Self Portrait and Portraits

Tips: 

You may want to make photographs of people going about their business—vendors in a market, a crowd at a sports event, the line at a theater. You don't want them to appear aware of the camera. 

What really got me going was thinking about what I own and how I could use it in a photo. Now I am not just talking about props, but I am talking about features also. One of my prominent features is my bald head. So could I work that to my advantage? 

A self-portrait doesn't have to be of your face—the image of two hands holding a camera says a lot about the photographer who shot his own portrait. You can also aim the camera down your body from eye level. 

Environmental Portraits:

I chose these portraits because they really tell you something personal about the subjects.

Casual Portraits:

I chose these photos because they are either posed or off guard.

Formal Portraits:

I chose these portraits because they are well posed and have good lighting.

Self Portraits:

I chose these because they are well in focus and have a clear subject with a theme.

Planning Ahead:

I think I will shoot me or a family member in my home or around it or at some train tracks by my home. I will use different angles and clothes/props to make it successful.

1. The iris of the eye.

2. The smaller the aperture, the brighter the picture. The higher the aperture, the darker the picture.

Caption Writing: 5 Ws and H

1. Joey Gray kisses Beth Gonzalez on Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Times Square in New York City. Gray excitedly grabbed Gonzalez when the news as announcing that the allies had defeated the Nazis, ending World War II.

2.  Ellen Smith cries out as Lucas Martinez was shot on Wednesday at 12 in the afternoon in Miami, Florida. Smith screamed out for the lost life of her student as the tragedy unravels of the National Guard taking the protest into their hands.

3. Abigail Chi(far right) runs with her 3 siblings in the Philippines on Saturday at 3 p.m. from the military officials chasing them down to shoot. Chi ran until she couldn't breathe but kept going to protect her younger siblings from the officials.

4. Allen Roberts rescues Jimmy Talon from the rubble that was his home on Monday at 9 a.m. in Atlanta, Georgia. Talon's family died in the mysterious fire started in the living room early in the dawn of morning.

5. Alyssa Consuelo rushes the children of her first grade class into the parking lot at 3:45 p.m. in Snohomish, Washington. Consuelo saved those kids from the shooter inside the building, who is shooting everyone in sight.

1. I chose this because of the focus and lack of color.

2.  I see a young man in his mid 20's maybe. I smell sweat. I hear nature sounds. I feel tired. I taste nothing.

Academics Shoot Reflection

1. It was a little difficult to do rule of thirds and balance.
